Radishes have numerous varieties, varying in size, color, and duration of required cultivation time. According to the internet, radishes are rich in ascorbic acid, folic acid, and potassium. They are a good source of vitamin B6, riboflavin, magnesium, copper, and calcium.

The photo above shows Asian radishes, and were organically grown in Millwood, WV. The radishes are shown with a cola can for size comparison. The growing season for these is similar to turnips (harvested typically between Oct. 01 and Nov. 01). Many people agree that these are more delicious than turnips, because they are more mild in taste.
